It should be noted that in most cases, the prescribed drops can control the symptoms of the disease but sometimes the pterygia increases to an extent that results in blurred vision and leaves you with np surgical procedures. Some people also do this by removing the stain and restoring the beauty of their eyes.
Duration of treatment
Full recovery will take a few weeks to several months, although the length of this process depends on the techniques which the physician is using for the surgery.

Preoperative care, procedure, postoperative care
Before surgery
It may be asked by the patient to avoid eating and drinking before the surgery or just have a light snack before it. Also, if the patient has a contact lens, they may be required not to use it at least 24 hours before surgery. Since the patient will be subjected to sedation, he or she should coordinate with one person to bring him home after surgery.
The process of the surgery
The doctor will alleviate the eye by using drops and injections. The eyes will then be kept open with a special tool that the physician can handle. Now, the pterygia will be separated from the cornea and sclera (the white part of the eye) and the conjunctiva separates from the scrotum. When the conjunctiva is detaching, the physician usually detaches a part of the tissue underneath the upper eyelid and links it to the part of the sclera that the conjunctiva is detached from. This tissue is transplanted using parasitic sutures. When the stitches are struck, they are covered.
This operation is carried out under the influence of local and sedative anesthetics and lasts for 30 to 45 minutes.
After the operation
Usually, the patients are told how to take care of their eyes in the following days and to change their blindfold in the coming days. The doctor probably prescribes some doses of painkillers and drops so the patient can use them in the following weeks after the surgery.
