This process also can be done without the use of sedative or local anesthesia. The process runs from 30 to 60 minutes.

After the Dental Filling

It is advisable not to chew the food with stuffed teeth for the first few days, as this may result in the detachment of the amalgam. In the case of local anesthesia, the patient should avoid hot foods and drinks for a while, since the patient will not notice their hotness and may burn his/ her oral cavity.

Important points about the Dental Filling

This treatment is not recommended for the following patients:

• patients whose teeth are too large
• patients who have an allergy or sensitivity to mercury alloys

• Possibility of overfilled with amalgam

• Infection
• Damage to the lips or gums
• Allergic reaction to the materials used
